01Who can be admitted?+
Adults affected by stroke or brain injury may be considered for our structured inpatient programme. Suitability is determined through a pre-admission assessment.
02Is this an inpatient programme?+
Yes. Our rehabilitation services are provided on an inpatient basis, with accommodation and 24-hour caregiver support.
03How much does rehabilitation cost?+
The cost of an inpatient stay depends on the individual care plan and admission arrangements. The in-person pre-admission assessment is R1,100; the prepaid virtual WhatsApp video assessment is R850 with a caregiver present. Contact admissions for information specific to your situation.
04Do you accept medical aid?+
Please contact our admissions team to discuss your medical aid and possible funding arrangements. Coverage depends on your scheme and benefits; we cannot guarantee payment.
05Can I book a viewing?+
Yes. Centre viewings are available by appointment. Contact us on WhatsApp to arrange a suitable time.
06Do you offer home visits or outpatient sessions?+
No. Our rehabilitation services are inpatient only; we do not offer home visits or outpatient sessions.
07How does financial assistance work?+
Sukuma Uhambe NPC reviews applications case by case. You will need financial documents, a family motivation and an indication of what your family can contribute monthly. Support is not guaranteed.
